Valuable Innovative Products for Very Important People
Thank you for making Avalon’s first VIP Show—Very Innovative Products for Very Important People—such a great event. This was our first time doing a show that was just new items and ideas and we certainly appreciate your warm reception.
Based on your response, we have brought in an exclusive new line of Premium Aged certified Black Angus Beef from Creekstone Farms! Everyone enjoyed Chef Max’s presentations of the beef, of course, but the temptingly tender veal and delicate dry-pack scallops were also hits. The innovative Center of the Plate options being showcased were a great reminder that Avalon has solutions for every entrée need.
In addition to the exciting COP items, customers at the show were among the first to see and sample Simplot’s trendy new side dishes, two unforgettable lines of unique desserts, and our full line of authentic Mexican specialties.
Thank you again to the customers who joined us at the VIP show in Cleveland. If you weren’t able to attend the first one, we have another VIP show scheduled for the Youngstown area at the end of June. I hope to see you there!

We’re Celebrating and You’re the Reason Why!
It’s been an exciting year of growth and change at Avalon Foodservice and we thank you for being part of our continuing success in 2008. We appreciate the opportunity to work with you and help you grow, too. We have introduced a number of new services and events this year, such as e-mail notifications of specials, and staff training as well as menu consultation with our Corporate Chef. We took our show on the road, bringing regional product presentations to Cleveland, Akron and Columbus area customers. New electronic pick up slips make returns easier, a redesigned product catalog makes it easier to find—and read about—products, and much more. Internally, we have improved our order selection accuracy and fill rates. We continue to focus on Operational Excellence, and you will continue to reap the rewards of that effort.
Of course, you’re looking right now at a big change for 2008, our new website! You will find this to be a great source for information, ideas and deals as we move forward. You’ll even be able to register for Avalon events online! Keep checking the site—it will be updated frequently.
